Organized by Daegu City, the Young Artists Project 2011: Future Lab is one of the big-scale shows for young artists under 40 years of age in Korea. We were very pleased to be invited to participate. The Young Artists Project 2011: Future Lab, through the artworks of young artists, aims to contemplate the visual language of contemporary artists from different countries and Korea and to contribute to promoting mutual understanding and fostering appreciation for diverse cultures.
2011 Youth Art Project Portfolio Document Recruitment Announcement ● The Youth Art Project is a future-oriented project that aims to discover new artists and promote the experimental works of young artists. It is an exhibition that has been held in Daegu City since 2009 to introduce creative works, check institutional art, and furthermore, to present new alternatives with a fresh impact on the art world. We would like to set the big theme of the 2011 exhibition as FUTURE LAB_Future Research Institute and establish the direction of the local art world and solidify the Daegu cultural brand through the discovery of young artists at home and abroad. Through the Round Table with writers, theorists, and the audience, we would like to create a deeper discourse on the new artist development program, and set up a portfolio document room to present various works of young artists to experts, collectors, and the audience, making a new attempt leading to a new artist discovery project. We ask for a lot of interest from young writers. ■ Daegu Photo Biennale Organizing Committee
