WEG//GEFÄHRTEN - farewell exhibition. Dear guests and friends of the gallery! The Prince House Gallery has existed since 2016, first on Turley, then since we founded the GmbH at the end of 2019 in the Mannheimer Quadrate. In the past few years we have learned an infinite amount (and still do), and have been able to experience and create numerous wonderful moments with our artists and guests in the midst of art. A great privilege, we think! Now it is time for us to close this door, because unfortunately we have not succeeded in making the gallery a stable livelihood for us and our families. The Prince House Gallery will therefore close its doors in July. Until then, we would like to celebrate with you what we have achieved and, above all, experience art. Some of our artists were particularly companions to us with their works and also as people, some in the early days of the gallery, others more recently. We have developed friendships with some of our artists.
With our farewell exhibition "Weggefährten" we are once again preparing the stage for those artists whose art and also their trust were groundbreaking for us.
We would like to say THANK YOU to all of you for the numerous encounters, for the trust you have shown us, for the support.
We are closing the gallery with a heavy heart because we firmly believed that with a meeting place, with our heart and soul and our expertise, we could also create a financial basis. It was sobering for us to see that we were not able to do that. With a heavy heart because it has always given us so much joy and still does! With a heavy heart because we would have loved to continue to support our artists as Prince House Gallery. Because we have also had so many successes. And we are closing the gallery with a smile on our face because so much good has happened to us that we will take with us, because we hope that we have been able to leave a mark on various people through our work and the works of our artists, because we have a lot of faith that sometimes doors have to close so that others can open.
So on June 20th we will be opening our farewell exhibition "Weggefährten" at 6:30 p.m. and are delighted that many of our artists will be there in person.
Paths can begin, paths can change, paths can branch off and paths can end, as in our case. And that always includes WEG//GEFÄHRTEN. On June 20th we will be saying goodbye to our rooms in H7 and would like to do so with a tear in our eye and a smile on our face together with our artists, friends, supporters and companions and we are very happy to be able to welcome you this evening too.
