The house and the apartment are more than mere shells that protect and shelter people—they are reflections of inner life, expressions of identity, cultural influences, and social roles. Living space serves as a stage for social and personal narratives, an experimental field for alternative ways of life, and a place where fundamental questions of belonging, control, and sustainability are negotiated. In the interplay of spatial design, household objects, and invisible forces such as indoor climate, a tightly interwoven network of meanings emerges—one that extends beyond architecture and deeply influences both societal and individual structures.
