Russian visual artist Katerina Belkina creates images that are at the same time realistic and dreamlike. It arranges several photographic elements in an image, which are then manipulated by means of Photoshop and sometimes enhanced with traditional painting tools, such as charcoal, paint and pencil.
Although she disagrees with the artistic stereotypes of the masculine and female art, Belkina positions her work from a female point of view, in the quintessence of human thought and emotion. Belkina invites the viewer to enter an inner world, to observe it with woman's eyes, a world that has its own mood and its own logic.
