Katerina  Belkina. Empty Spaces
An urban dweller in search of self-identity.
September 24 – November 7, 2011
PhotoLoft Gallery, Moscow

The photographic works of Katya Belkina explore the search for a comfortable space in the modern metropolis. The artist poses the question of what specific place in the city could be considered her home, but does not find a direct answer. The exhibition focuses on the fragmentation of social groups and the struggle against civic pessimism, seen through the lens of urban anthropology.

As part of the parallel program of the 4th Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art.
